Wai Leong Tang

Wai Leong specialises in public affairs, strategic communications and crisis management, with extensive knowledge of Southeast Asia having lived in Singapore, Indonesia and Myanmar. He has advised clients on regulatory analysis, stakeholder mapping and engagement, supporting both international companies and local businesses seeking to expand globally.

He joined Klareco Communications in Myanmar in 2015, witnessing the country’s political and economic transformation firsthand. He subsequently established Klareco’s presence in Indonesia, securing long-term mandates such as from the Singapore Tourism Board. Since 2021, he has helmed the regional Public Affairs function in Singapore, working with clients from embassies, tech, automotive and other sectors. Earlier in his career, he advised major tech companies like Google and Facebook on navigating regulatory changes and government engagement across the region
