Tom Johnson

Tom advises CEOs, executives and Boards of Directors on strategic communications matters, with a particular focus on transactions, activist investors, crises, management changes and governance situations. He has advised leading global public and privately held ompanies including: Comcast, GCM Grosvenor, Hershey’s, JAB Holdings, Keurig Dr Pepper, T-Mobile, TPG, Starwood Capital Group and Truist. He also serves as the global Co-CEO of H/Advisors.

Under his leadership, H/Advisors Abernathy has expanded to six offices across the U.S. and has evolved into a strategic communications firm through the addition of several new practice areas, including public affairs, digital, corporate governance and enhanced research capabilities. He has been a guest speaker at the Tulane Corporate Law Institute, the Garrett Corporate and Securities Law Institute, the Equilar Board Leadership Forum and 13D Monitor’s Activism conference, among others. He serves on the Board for Volunteers of America’s Greater New York and the LAGRANT Foundation.
