Damion Potter

Damion advises clients on geopolitics, trade and sustainability, with senior leadership experience across government, diplomacy and corporate affairs in the UK, Europe, Asia and the Americas. As Executive Chairman, he is H/Advisors Cicero’s most senior practitioner, responsible for shaping the firm’s public affairs strategy in the UK and across the global H/Advisors network. Before joining H/Advisors, he was Global Chair of Public Affairs at Burson, integrating the firm’s PA practice across 95 offices in 40 countries. Prior to that, he was VP and Global Head of Policy and Government Affairs at Haleon, setting global policy strategy and driving government engagement.

His government experience includes leading the UK Government’s delivery team for COP26, and serving as British Ambassador to Panama City where he negotiated the UK’s post-Brexit trade deal with six Central American countries. Earlier diplomatic roles in Sweden, Taiwan and Russia covered trade, crisis response and communications. Damion also spent three years at ESPN as Communications Director across EMEA and APAC. He holds degrees from the University of Warwick and is fluent in English, French, Spanish, Russian and Swedish.
