H/Advisors, global strategic communications experts, is delighted to announce the launch of its new business podcast series entitled Behind the Narrative. 

The podcast, which will air periodically through the year, will see one of the UK’s leading business journalists and media figures, Ian King, pair up with H/Advisors London Partner and former Sky News correspondent, Katharine Spence.  

Episodes of Behind the Narrative will focus on 30-40 minute interviews with international business leaders from all sectors and parts of senior management. They will explore people’s careers, and the big moment decision-making required during the occasions either they and their companies were in the mainstream news or under public scrutiny. 

The podcast will launch on Thursday, 18 September 2025 with Amazon’s International Stores & Corporate Comms Director, Stu Jackson, and will be followed by the second episode featuring Sir Nigel Knowles, former global co-chairman of the law firm DLA Piper and Chairman of DWF LLP. 

Commenting, Ian King and Katharine Spence, said: “We are thrilled to get this idea off the ground. Every day we hear business leaders delivering – or at least trying to deliver – their narratives in print, online and on broadcast. But we want to uncover the people and decisions behind those narratives, and to hear it from their unique perspective. Why was that message important to you, why should people have cared or believed you, and did that key point truly resonate? These are the areas we want to unpick and discuss in a relatively informal, non-combative format.”
